Volunteer

The HELP Foundation and BigHoop Charities, INC have developed a special relationship with Rotary International. Many of our volunteers are Rotarians and several projects, both major and minor, have been funded by individual Rotarians, Rotary Clubs and The Rotary Foundation. In November, 2022, Rotarians Andrea Kraus and Gloria Homeier from Russell, KS were volunteer workers for us. Upon their departure, they both became sponsors for the education of two students. Their concern for our less fortunate children didn’t end there. The lack of oral hygiene among our children made a lasting impression on them. When they returned to Kansas, they sent an “all points bulletin” to over 60 Rotary Clubs soliciting toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, and other oral hygiene items.  What a surprise and success - 450 tubes of toothpaste, 620 toothbrushes, and 50 tubes of floss!  I shipped them to the Philippines on April 10! They also want to write a grant for a mobile dentist chair and drilling equipment! Rotarians in Action!
